Pacific Northwest Wireless Summit 2008 - January 16 - 18, 2008

This three-day Summit is several events in one: It’s a leadership summit meeting, a wireless conference and tradeshow, and a Service Provider Investment Forum (SPIF).

The Summit focuses on the four top wireless growth areas: Social networks, location-based services, mobile advertising and mobile entertainment.

This event brings together technology and application innovators, service providers and other companies and stakeholders in the wireless industry from BC, the Yukon, Alberta, Alaska, Washington, Northern California and Idaho.

WINBC offers a wealth of knowledge and opportunities through a variety of networking events and partnering forums.

To give you a taste of what we've done recently:

• Wireless Innovation Contest (WIC’07) at CTIA in Orlando www.winbc.org/wic. Winners were announced live on March 26th to kick-off CTIA
• Our second annual Service Provider Investment Forum (SPIF) brought 15 international carriers and venture capitalists to Vancouver. SPIF 2007 dinner and reception was held on January 25th with Keynote Speaker Jason Cohenour, President & CEO, Sierra Wireless
• Represented our members at 3GSM in Barcelona
• Location Based Services event with NAVTEQ
• Two Telebriefings with IDC
• China Telecom/Wireless Partnering Session attended by China Unicom, China Mobile, China Satcom, Hauwei, ZTE and others, with 90 one on one meetings.
