February 8, 2010 – BC Media Day, Vancouver, BC

Before the official Opening of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, VX (2010 Showcase initiative) will hold a special event for the 1,500 non-accredited media. It will be an opportunity to engage the media directly. They will get a tour of the BC Showcase, introduced to the VX Directory and will get a package of tools that will enable an enhanced experience for their reporting. The non-accredited media does not have rights to Olympic content, so they will be reporting on everything around the Games – to a daily audience of 500 million people. We need to engage with these media representatives to tell our stories and promote our industry.

February 25, 2010 – VX Meets the World Day, Vancouver, BC

This is our day to showcase the wireless and digital media talent and innovation that we have right here in BC to the world. It is on the last Thursday before the closing of the Winter Olympic Games and will be a day-long series of experiential events. There will be lots of opportunity for our community to connect with business leaders from around the world to discuss business and economic development initiatives beyond 2010.
