Dwayne Lamb, President and CTO of Visual Byte tells us more about his company.
What opportunity did you see when creating Visual Byte? Was there a gap in the market that you fill and what is that?
Visual Byte was created in the early 1990’s as a vehicle to pursue my passion for developing software, and for helping customers solve business problems with technology. That was also about the time that the Microsoft platform and family of related technologies were starting to gain some traction and Microsoft began plowing new paths in the developing technology frontier, which were also creating numerous and varied secondary opportunities in their wake for companies that choose to follow. Our niche has historically been custom software development and the accompanying skills and services that go along with scoping, designing and building quality software that ultimately improves business processes.
What impact does your technology have on the industry/customer markets?
By providing quality mobile software to our customers our goal is to enable them to get greater utility out of their devices.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Well because I now live and work in White Rock… Seagulls get me up in the morning
What's in store for your company? How will the future look?
From my perspective, the era of mobile devices and location enabled solutions has really just started to spread its growing wings and is getting ready to fly. My plan for Visual Byte in the coming months and years it to substantially grow our base of software product offerings and continue to attract quality talent to grow our team. This will allow us to focus our 20+ years of software design experience into the creation of some first class mobile and location based products and custom solutions while riding this next wave of the exciting evolution of personal computing. So with out a doubt, the future looks bright to me.
